Okay so I have posted here and got some feedback and I have gone back and reviewed everything and made a new build.

Again, this build is going to be for gaming and video editing intensive.

Previously I had a budget of $1,000 but I am upping it to $1,500 just because I don't want to get the cheaper parts just to save money.

What I would like to do is liquid cool (if possible). I want this machine to be as silent as I can possibly get it.

Key Points

- Up to $1,500 (a little over is fine)

- Silent as can be (liquid if possible)

- For gaming, and video editing

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K - $309

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX760 - $249

Motherboard: MSI H87-G43 LGA 1150 - $99

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB - $299

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 750D - $159

PSU: XFX PRO750W - $95

~ $1210

From taking some advice from other people on here (thank you), I have made this build;

$220 - CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K

$65 CPU Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H55

$250 - GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX760

$95   - Motherboard: ASRock Z87

$159 - RAM: Patriot Viper 3 16GB

$160 - Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 750D (I was told to get a different cheaper case but I do like this case and I want the change to upgrade my cooling to all liquid in the future; but please, if you have any better suggestions let me know)

$90   - PSUAntec TruePower 650W 80 PLUS GOLD

Storage:

$125 SSD - Crucial M500 240GB (I like to put my OS and all my programs on this drive. I also like to have whatever files I'm working on at the time on this same drive)

$110 HDD - Seagate Barracuda 3 TB (x2, either raid 0 or 1; still unsure) = $220

= $1,384

So I am technically over my first budget but under my second budget which is okay.

Future plans (throughout the next year and a half):
- Liquid cool GPU, figure out how to put my own liquid cooling system in
- Upgrade RAM to 32GB
- Add more HDDs
- Maybe put another GPU in

So please keep that in mind while making suggestions. I would not mind spending more if it comes down to it. I'd like to performance and flexibility of getting to to where I want it to be rather than spending less money now. In a way, saving money in the future by spending a little more now.

Thank you very much for still being here and taking the time to help me.

If your going to be video editing intensively then it would be SOOOOO much better to go with an i7 4770k. Also instead of the h55 get an h100i with replacement fans for more silence. Everything else looks good.

EDIT: SOrry I justy noticed the SSD

CPU: i7 8700 GPU: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 Mobo: Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 5 Ram: 16GB EVGA SuperSC SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB PSU: TX650M Case: NZXT S340 Elite OS: Windows 10 Mouse: Logitech G403 Mouse Mat: HyperX Fury S Pro XL
Keyboard: CM Masterkeys Pro S (reds) Headphones: Sennheiser HD598 Monitor: Asus 24' MG248QR Devices: IPhone 11 Pro Max + 13' Macbook Pro

As you can see from my first build, I did have the 4770K but was told to drop it down. Not sure if it was solely on price from my budget at the time or price vs performance on my budget at the time.

I looked it up and saw that there isn't that much of a performance jump so that's why I chose the 4670K this time around.

I don't see the point in upgrading to 32GB ram until you have at least a 3930k for video editing.

Unless you're going with a custom loop, an aio won't really be quieter and be likely louder than a high end air cooler.

Are you limited to Amazon or are you open to other US shops?

What kind of content are you editing? Programs being used?

Why raid?

So I posted last night, I guess it didn't work. So anyway;

I don't see the point in upgrading to 32GB ram until you have at least a 3930k for video editing.

39? Do you mean a 49?

Unless you're going with a custom loop, an aio won't really be quieter and be likely louder than a high end air cooler.

So should I go air cooling instead? For the noise. But what about for performance cooling if I overclock?

Are you limited to Amazon or are you open to other US shops?

I mainly want to stay with amazon because I have financing through them so I don't have to pay for a year. :P

What kind of content are you editing? Programs being used?

Adobe Suite. Maybe some 3D modeling but I haven't gotten into that.

Why raid?

To make the drives faster. I want to have four in there eventually. 2 on raid 1 and 2 on raid 0. For faster performance and security. Also, it'll make one 6tb drive instead of two 3tb drives.

No. The 4930k is better than the 3930k. By at least, I am pointing to anything from the 3930k and up.

Air cooling does not perform as well but it should be plenty anyway.

What version?
