Motherboard/Storage Compatibility

Hey Nerds,

 

I’m planning my first build and I’m stuck at storage. The motherboard I have is: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard. The storage I want is: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (2TB, pt # ST2000DM008). I looked on the motherboards website for compatible storage and didn’t see the Barracuda I want, but a friend told me that sometimes the sites don’t have every compatible part, so the storage I want may still work. Does anyone know if this combo will still run okay?

You don't need to worry about compatibility with hard drives. As long as you have a spare sata port on your board then you are fine.

You allready have the board? Or are you ordering it?

 

Edit: like its among the worst x570 boards. Id suggest swapping it if you havent ordered it yet.
