Hi! I've recently been trying to oc my ref sapphire r9 290 and I'm having quite an issue. Whenever I apply an overclock to my gpu core, it won't go over 780mhz.and stays around this value. I even tried to downclock the card to see what happens and it does the same. I set my power limit to +50% and I tried to oc with trixx, gpu tweak and catalyst control center but I always get the same issue.

When I try to oc the memory: no problem. It responds accordingly. I really don't know what's wrong with this card. I already have no signal when the bios is booting plus an annoying fan buzz sound... I think I'm going to return it...

What do you guys think?

See if it works in other PCI-E slots, if not than try and get a new one. I'd get a refund and buy the Tri-X version if I were you.
