Anti aliasing

Hey recently  I have been experiencing this issue where I don’t know why but AA dosent seem to work at all (desktop) specially the small icons look jagged n that really bugs me m using a dell monitor it dosent supports Hdmi it only has vga earlier I thought it was because I was using a gt610 I was getting this issue so I changed to gym 1050 to PC edition but the issue is still there I really don’t know what to do I can’t play games with AA on I have to upscale the resolution in order to fix some of the AA issue I can’t really enjoy anything because of it I have been thinking of buying a new monitor cuz this isn’t even 1080 it’s 720p it’s a 10 year monitor please can anyone help me with this issue????
