I have three pure wings 2 140mm in my pure base 500 (two in the front as intake and one in the back as exaust) and i'm thinking of upgrading all of them to a quieter model. I was thinking of the silent wings 3 or some from noctua. Do you think it's worth the upgrade and wich fans should i get?

What are your specs and temps?

What rpm are you running the fans at? Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

Silent Wings 3 are a lot better fans than Pure Wings 2. You will have noticeable better temps with the former at the same rpm:

PW2 are rated 0.76mm H2O @ 1000rpm (Rifle Bearing: Mediocre)

- SW3 rating of 1.08mm H2O @ 1000rpm (Fluid Dynamic Bearing: Cutting edge)

I do think is worth the upgrade, although how much temps and noise matter to you considering that ATM: $22,67 ea X 3 = $68.01 at amazon
