New headset Problems (Razer Kraken 7.1)

I just got my new headset but when i plug them in the mixer only shows skype as a volume option and i can hear nothing else. 

I have set the headset set to my default device and restarted my computer, did not do anything. The software for the headset is all installed. Any advice

would be appreciated. 

Edit: Also may or may not be relevant but the setup i had before was a samson go mic whiich is connected to my computer via usb and headphones plugged 

into it cas it had a 3.5 jack on it which allows me to hear my computer. when i plug it back in it works as it did where i can hear everything.

Are you sure you set windows volume settings to the right thing?
