My First self built pc

Yuval12l

Hi everyone,

I am new to PC building and I would like to begin with a used components project.

Is it possible to build a decent gaming computer with 600 $ budget?

If it is, what recommendations do you have?

thanks.

I can purchase an msi gtx 980 ti for 100 usd. I know it's pretty old but still can run most games I guess. or should I focus on the ones you recommended?

The 980 is really good but it uses alot of power so might want a 700watt and make sure the psu comes with the power connectors the 980 needs

CPU (new): AMD Ryzen 5 2600 $138

MOBO (new): MSI B450 Tomahawk Max $115

RAM (new): 16GB Patriot Viper Steel DDR4-3000 $68

GPU (used): Nvidia GTX 1060 $85

PSU (new): Corsair RMx 550W 80+ Gold $90

Case (new): Deepcool Matrexx 70-ADD-RGB $92

= $588 USD total (plus shipping if applicable)

Pretty decent for 1080p gaming, however I would recommend upgrading and or starting a new build annually every 3 to 5 years afterwards to keep up to date with the latest hardware.

Wish I knew more about the Israeli PC market. Is Amazon pretty accessible? What about Newegg?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

In which case, you could probably afford a rig very similar to this

The power supply is not great, how much would a Corsair cx450 cost you? Also the motherboard could be better in terms of power delivery, is the Asrock b450 Pro4 an option?

459 watts is plenty, quality matters a lot. If you want that 980 ti, you should get the cx450m or cx550 because those will have enough connectors. Also look at the be quiet pure power 10 and 11, or system power 9, or also the cooler master MWE V2 (bronze or white). You could also consider the bronze V1 for 650 watts or higher, but I doubt that would be very cheap.

Actually I'm waiting for an answer from the guy who sells the 980 ti. disregarding price difference, what would be better the 980 ti or the rx 570 8gb?

The 980 ti performs pretty close to the GTX 1070, and that's way ahead of the 570. They're often about $150 compared to the used rate of the 570's $75 or so.
