NEED HELP WITH GPU SELECTION

i need help with choosing a new GPU for my system im trying to decide between the rx 5700 xt or the rtx 2070 . i currently have a ryzen 7 1700x with 24gb of ram. im planning on playing with high settings at 1080p and 144hz monitor. i will be playing escape from tarkov, arma 3, gta 5, bannerlord and total war games. thank you for any help you can provide. 

P.S i dont have the monitor yet so if i go with the 5700xt im getting a freesync monitor and if i go with the 2070 then im going to get a g sync monitor.

Your CPU is a problem for both of those cards at 1080P. In terms of value, the RX 5700XT offers a better value than 2070 at similar performance. Unless, you got a 2070 for around 400.

 

Also, G sync works with some Free sync monitor.

5700xt is better performance than 2070 and it also cheaper 

SO you can save some money and get a better monitor.
