Hello everyone,
a friend of mine decided to make an upgrade to his current build:

Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb
Inter i5-4460 @ 3.2 Ghz
4GB RAM
530W Be quiet! Pure power psu

@ 1080p (the monitor is new he will propably stay with this one atm)

his budget is up to 800euro and he can buy from German amazon. My suggestion was:

EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 KO 6GB
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Gskill F4-3200C16D-16GVKB
AsRock B450M Steel Legend
@ 1080p

that brings him to a total of 722.72euro with some remaining to spend on the build to improve something.
He mainly loves games like Total war/Assassin's Creed Odyssey and other historical/strategy related games.
What would be a wise choice here and why? Thank you for you help in advance!

Maybe a 2060 super instead of a KO?

The super has 2070 like performance.

Or a 5700XT if he is willing to put up with some drive rheadache he will get a lot more performance.

Just now, bamananama said:

What is the difference between picking a Gen2 or a Gen3 motherboard? I was suggested to be wary of that for less hassle later. Also the GTX 2060 super requires more than a 530W PSU. Woudn't that be a problem?

the gtx 2060 super will work with your psu. the msi b450 a-pro max comes with the right bios for the ryzen 3600 and has good vrms that will allow overclocking.
