You're totally fine using the stock paste. Sure, you can get better temperatures with better pastes, but if you're looking for "good enough", the stock stuff fits that requirement.

Just use stock paste. Especially with a budget build. You'll maybe see 1-2C difference.

It's good to use a paste that doesn't have thermal cycle "pump-out".  Had a paste do that over 6 months and when I removed the cooler there was barely any left on the IHS.  I now just usually stick with kryonaut, no curing issues, nothing and it lasts almost as long as my IC graphite thermal pads.  I also don't recommend the pads, more times than not, just lower a cooler onto them can move them out of place.
