budget?

the stock cooler is certainly good enough, unless you have lofty OC goals.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

No overclocking.

What is the ideal temperature?

Not sure about the budget yet.

I want to get some facts first.

Thank you

Temp sub 85 us good, sub 80 is usually ideal.

The only way to know about cooler performance is to look up reviews and stuff with data, you can't really judge by looking

Wow. I guess some of the coolers I have been looking at claim their temp is idle at around 55.

In C not F  right?

Do you know what the temp for the default cooler?

Can you link some of those? Generally, looking at reviews is better than looking at marketing material. Temps in PCs are always in Celsius.

The stock cooler performance depends on actual CPU. the R7 and R9 CPUs (3rd gen) are bit too much for stock cooler to handle. Pretty much like i7 and i9 are for Intels side. But in general, stock idle is 45C and load is 75-80C. Using good aftermarket cooler can drop 10C off from those.

It was the Cooler Master newest air cooler.

Load was 55C I believe.

I'm hearing that if you are not going to be OC then you don't need aftermarket cooler.

What do you think?

I'm planning to get AMD Ryzen 5 or 7.

Somewhat irrelevant picture. Max temps looks like you just started Chrome or something.

3rd gen R7 is having issues with stock cooling, and even some budget aftermarket coolers. You can look at other threads here to see what the recommendations are.

When you start looking at cooler, budget, case and RAM are main things you need to know. Case and RAM will determitnate what size coolers you can actually use.
