Good morning everyone.
First of all, my rig.
mobo: x299 SLI PLUS
cpu: i7 7820x
ram 4x16 ddr4 3466 Corsair Vengeance Pro

So, 2 days ago, I got myself this new shiny ram ^.
And after setting it up I started getting BSOD, up to 3~4 on a row, before even being able to go back to windows.
And apparently, it's because of the ram speed, disabling XMP and letting it sit at 2133, seems to have stabilized it, but, according to msi, my mobo should support with OC 3466MHz ram, and more.
I'm guessing that it's a CPU problem, sincethe official specs list 2666 max. (my fault there, checked bios compatibility, but not cpu) is there anything I could / should OC to enable higher speed ram? (even if I can't make it all the way to 3466, tho, i've seen people online claiming to use up to 4000MHz ram without problems with this cpu).

Thanks a lot for your support.

I think those are most likely Dual Rank sticks which are more taxing on the memory controller, try taking out 2 of the sticks and try again, if it does work then it might also help to increase the VCCIO to 1.2-1.25V if you want to stabilize the memory with all 4 sticks but if not then I think your only solution is to drop the speed to 3200Mhz.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Yeah, with 2 it was stable, but surprisingly, for 4 sticks, dropping to 3400 was enough, used prime95 to stress cpu&ram and no problem for over 20 minutes, so I'm guessing it's as good as it can be.

Thanks a lot for your help
