A long while ago I got a Intel Pentium G3258 and it's been collecting dust since I moved off of FreeNAS and onto Rockstor. I'm wanting to move back to FreeNAS but want to get a motherboard that supports ECC RAM before doing so. The G3258 supports ECC RAM and I found this very interesting Supermicro board on Ebay, X10SLH-LN6TF. From  the digging I was able to do it seems to be compatible with 4th generation Haswell processors but I wanted to get some more thoughts before pulling the trigger. With the links I dropped would it stand to reason that this setup will work? What's the chance that it will "work" but I'll need to do a BIOS update in order to get it to work?

This motherboard would be pretty neat given the 10gb NIC's. The G3258 may not be able to take full advantage of the speed difference but neither would my SATA HDD's anyways so if down the road I throw some SSD's in the FreeNAS box I'll likely look for an upgrade to the CPU too. Thanks for any thoughts :)
