OC core voltage boost?

I just started OC my gpu rtx 2070 super I was wondering if your supposed to change the core voltage to its Max which for me is 100 I’ve heard people say don’t do it and people say you should my gpu is running at 79-86C which I hope is okay got a 145mhz core clock 300mhz memory clock

Raise it only when the GPU still runs cool, say below 70C. Otherwise you lose more core clock on temperature than you do with increased voltage.

 

and it doesnt always do something either

rtx 2070s runs to a way higher frequency or probably you meant 145mhz and 300mhz already added to the core and memory clock. if it's running to that temp when you play high end games that's ok, but if it's running that temp in idle state that's a big problem.

Okay thank you so just keep it 0 because my MHz on my gpu is 1955-2000mhz with 981-1000v and 84C with out core voltage

So it's the Ventus, a 2060 cooler (that's not overkill by any stretch of the imagination) on a 2070S. That's bound to run hot.

imo it's too hot for something this large, I prefer keeping it around 75C under load.

The fans are already too loud?

 

btw could try undervolting, i.e. reset clock offset, lower power limit until temperatures meet what you want, then raise clock offset.
