Can I use a 240w power brick?

the power throttling comes from the amount of power the motherboard is able to deliver to the cpu, not a power brick limit. so not, it's not going to solve it.

Hey guys, so I was running some stress tests on my Dell G7 7588 with i7 8750H and GTX 1060 Max q and I got to know that its thermal throttling and used to hit like 100 degrees. To fix that, I did a repaste from Dell's factory paste to liquid metal and temps went all the way to 70 degrees. Now I am having power throttling issues. I tried to uncheck the "C states" in the bios, although it helped but not a lot. So the other option is that I should buy a 240w Dell's power brick to fix this (the one which came with my laptop is a 180w one). So will it help me or not?
