Cheap Desktop mic?

madscientist56

does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap desktop mic that sounds half decent?

I'm looking for one under $50, i recently tried this, but the sound quality was so horrible i'm going to rma it and just get a new one

also if you think i should save and spend more tell me because that's an option too, thanks in advance  :)

If you're just looking to chat with others, the neewer 2$ microphones on amazon or ebay are great. They sound much better than integrated laptop microphones and you can tape them to your headphones or just put them on your table. You can get 5 for 8 bucks.

$5.90 for 3 of them

http://www.amazon.com/Neewer-3-5mm-Hands-Computer-Microphone/dp/B005DJOIHE/

$7.25 for 5 of them

It says they are lapel mics, but they work just fine on the desk and sound really good for the price.

I'm using a Blue Snowball myself it's within that price range of yours ( 50-60 ) and it's decent for like.. everything

I highly doubt it can record an orchestra very well.

Feel free to message me if you want to chat!
