Might seem like a dumb question but how will I control the RGB of my PC if I´m planning to buy an MSI motherboard and already purchased an ASUS GPU.

Will I have to control the GPU via ASUS Aura Sync and everything else (fans, strips etc.) with MSI Mystic Light? And how will I sync these technologies?

Thanks in advance :D

best get rgb systems that match

RGB doesnt have an industry standard so you'll want to stick within a companys ecosystem

I was planning to put the ASUS B450 Prime Plus in my build, but I have heard that there might be a problem with it in the future, that it might be bad for upgrading.

Why might it be a problem?

i recommend b450 f

rgb wise mix asus with Corsair if you can, icue can already control their motherboards (beta) and soon for more.

Got this response from an another user:

for the sake of future upgradeability, I would get a different motherboard.

the one you chose has pretty bad VRM's. you can barely run a 2600 on it with a slight overclock. going for more cores or a more aggressive overclock won't be an option on this board.

go for this instead:

Possibly but most of the time they are ok as long as you aren’t overclocking. You should see some of the microatx  boards the stick with 3700x’s on prebuilts. Yea I recommend b450f or tomahawk (max) or carbon pro ac (best vrm’s).

“Want” is not the word I would use.  I take your point though.  I find the “ecosystem” thing abusive and obnoxious especially considering all they’re actually doing is deliberately breaking a standard that was already in place for absolutely no consumer gain.  It’s the classic “make the product worse to limit consumer option and increase profit” thing.  It’s a travesty imho.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
