Need help figuring out what is wrong

I just built my PC, and one issue I'm having right now is that dual channel ram isn't working. If I put the ram sticks for dual channel, the PC doesn't post on my monitor. The system runs, and everything. It just doesn't show anything. If I put the rams in single channel, then it works. I have Asus Prime X470 Pro Mobo, and G.Skill Trident Z RGB ram. I'm not sure what to do and my friend isn't sure what is up. Can anyone provide me a checklist so that I can test it on my build, and see what is the issue?

Install one memory stick into slot A1 (next to the cpu)

Then

Clear cmos.

Update bios.

Clear cmos again.

Boot for functionality (all the way to windows)

Shut down.

Install memory sticks into slots A2 and B2 (second and forth from the cpu) ** Try this first if you haven't already**

Try to post.
