Eve online question

I've always heard good and bad things about the game and always thought it seemed kind of interesting. But I've heard it's hard to get into and it takes a long time to really make any progress.

Here is what to expect:

 

1: If you ignore the tutorial, or if you dont concentrate on it, the learning curve is nearly a vertical wall with no handholds (image search "eve online learning curve")

2: It takes a LOT of time. Expect to have NO free time

3: Its nice because it dosnt have very high hardware requirements

4: Play with friends, its much better

Well it's not so much a curve as a cliff. I've been playing since 2005, and yeah it's way better with friends.

 

Also it's always a scam or a trap, even if it isn't it is.

Don't believe anyone in any major trade hub ie Jita/Amarr/Rens/Hek
