Hey guys,

So I decided to try streaming to see what kind of extra stress it puts on my PC.

Streaming Escape from Tarkov (playing at 3440x1440, streaming at 1080p60fps), with my CPU (Ryzen 7 3800x) running stock (with PBO and +200 Auto OC, I boost to 4.5Ghz), and my ROG Strix 2080S OC'd to 2115Mhz Core, and 9251Mhz Memory, my temps are,

CPU Max -  74C

GPU Max - 67C

Do those sound about right? They seem decent to me, but my CPU has always struck me as somewhat high.

Gaming Build:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x   |  GPU: Asus ROG STRIX 2080 SUPER Advanced (2115Mhz Core | 9251Mhz Memory) |  Motherboard: Asus X570 TUF GAMING-PLUS  |  RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3600MHz 16GB  |  PSU: Corsair RM850x  |  Storage: 1TB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro, 250GB Samsung 840 Evo, 500GB Samsung 840 Evo  |  Cooler: Corsair H115i Pro XT  |  Case: Lian Li PC-O11

It's safe. Those temps are actually relatively cooler than normal temperatures, at least for a pre-made laptop. If it has always been at a high temperature, then you shouldn't worry if it's within the average heat.

The temps are great considering what u are doing and if u consider laptop runs at 90-100c for years and no CPU fails u cant stay chill.

Those are fine. I worry about CPU temps when they get to the mid 80s. Laptop CPUs tend to run at 90-100c and when is the last time you’ve seen a laptop CPU go bad?

Why does everyone think I have a Laptop?

This is a custom build with the CPU on a 240mm AIO

That’s probably my fault. I was just saying that laptop CPUs (which are nearly identical in how they are made) are able to take temps that high for years. Ryzen overclocks itself with the available thermal headroom so those temps are normal and safe for your desktop pc. This is assuming that you are giving the loop time to heat up.

Yeah those temps are after several hours of gaming/streaming. I've had HWiNFO running all day and my peak temps are 76C CPU, and 67C GPU. And gotchya, sounds like a miscommunication lol.
