Budget GPU for basic Blender

Go to solution Solved by Dropit,

Because I would say if you think about getting a cheap gpu your only options are rx 580/570 or gtx1650super or 1660super. Look at which of these you can afford and if there is more than one you can afford you could look at benchmarks and compare

I use blender occasionally as a hobby, also I'm a light user(pretty much doesn't game). Currently using an i3-7100 with 8 gigs of ddr4 memory. My render times are pretty high. What GPU do you guys suggest? I'm currently in the range for an rx570. Is it better to go with AMD or Nvidia?

a nvidia 1070 do the job cuda is preferred over opencl.

Agreed, 1070s make amazing rendering cards.

Guys thank you for your replies. But these cards are way over my budget. Are there any cheaper alternatives? Because I am a just a beginner and model only simple to moderate scenes right now.
