Hello there, I am From Spain and i am looking to buy a tv for my dorm room, i want a 1920x1080 resolution. I have a 200€ budget. I have found 2 candidates on amazon a 40inch tcl tv or a second hand 32 inch LG monitor, my problem is that the monitor only has 1 Hdmi port witch is inconvinient for me since i want to hook up my ps4, firestick and an extra cable for my laptop. The TV has 3 hdmi ports, but i am scared that it is going to be way to big and i will have to set it on my desk since my dorm wont allow me to put it on the wall. So here comes my question. Is it worth it buying an HDMI SPLITTER for the LG monitor? Would there be any downgrade of quality at 1080p?? I need more savy people to help me with this

HDMI splitter boxes just switch the active hdmi by a switch, no picture quality should be lost as its just connecting the data pins to the according source, it does no processing

This looks like a good one if you need a recommendation

Do you mean an HDMI switch?

Splitters are for connecting multiple displays to one computer. Switches are for connecting multiple devices to one screen.

Switches don't affect image quality, the only concern is whether it's reliable or not, which you can tell from reviews.
