Now, i have this problem. I have a big bump fps far from anyone with same and lower with 1660 (My friend using 3200Mhz) He said no microstutter (decreased by ram maybe)

What ram should i pick? Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200MHz or Gskill TridentZ 3200MHz.

My goal from this upgrade: Decrease microstutter like big fps drop. Maybe it will worked.

I check from afterburner. The results show what should it looks. 3DMark score is same like others. Thanks

Just overclock your current ram and you won't have to buy an entirely new kit

Though 2666 to 3000+ shouldn't be a massive jump in performance. Stuttering and stuff like that shouldn't be affected by +400mhz in memory frequency

I hope i can do that. Totally newbie at overclock (Never do that once). But at my country people always use 3600 + RTX. They say 2600 cant handle 2060 perfectly.

But ryzen needs a fast ram? I still dont know about infinity fabric use to. Gaming or help at productivity.

At first, im already wrong about this pc purpose and hardware choose. Intel = Gaming only. Ryzen specialize at multitasking with their core and thread

Yes, a ram upgrade may decrease some microstutter.  I fixed in for a game I play (Space Engineers) by going from 8gb 2400Mhz to 16gb 3200Mhz.  However, this game uses 14Gb of ram which is super rare.  I would make sure your CPU is not not spiking to 100% causing the stutters first.

In terms of which you should choose, both will work.  They might have slightly different timings, but this is a very small difference.  I would just go with which one looks better / which one costs less.

My cpu doesnt even reach 100%. At gaming like competitive games csgo and r6s. Only 50-75% usage and 50-60% gpu usage. Some situation it can drop to 110. Kinda weird. I thought it can reach 140 at it lowest.

It's a perfectly fine cpu, but there's always a bottleneck somewhere. Ryzen does depend on faster memory, but you won't be gaining a huge amount from 2666 to 3200.

It seems like a ram upgrade should help, especially if you are on Ryzen.

Just consider if the extra $10 is worth the better looking ram.  I, personally, would go with Corsair unless the Gskill ram matches colors in your build.

Edit: The microstutters are odd though.  I built a system with a Ryzen 5 2400 and 8 gb of 3000 Mhz ram.  So far no complaints from the owner.

Still, i found some microstutter at gaming. Im too expecting too much from this setup tho.

But i found many benchmark video from youtube. Cpu reach to 3.750 MHZ but mine only 3.65 (highest). Still dont know why my friend have a stabie fps than me.

But my friend using r5 1600 and 1080 ti ( OC his ram to 3200 and cpu to 3.8) Its fine

I already asked from the store (One of indonesia big store). Talking about my fps suddenly go to low fps like spike (After upgrading without do ddu to my 1060 3gb driver)

Then, i go back to the store to change to 550W (My house cant handle 650W)

Third,i go to change ssd and then fresh install all of my C (Windows)

But reused game install doesnt matter, right?

Still dont know why my game have a random stutter.

*My pc have forced down 5 times (4x my electricity cant handle then 1x electricty shut down) - with 650W

I hope that doesnt matter to my rig. :)

Before this upgrade, I have a 1060 3GB. That 'difference' between fps isnt big at all (80-110).

My bad tho i didnt check it from afterburner when i have that 1060 3gb. To compare the usage.

+ i cant play just cause 3 with that.

But any other solution to check what wrong with this problem? Temperature can affect this?

upgrading to 1060 3gb driver?  Is that your current GPU?  If so, I have friends that have a bunch of issues caused by the small amount of video ram on that card, causing stuttering.

I mean. After 2060 plugged to my pc, the driver not uninstalled yet. I see from internet. It can affect a minor problem. So i fresh install my windows. Then the performance is much better than before. Now, i need to find a way to reduce 'big bump".

Because i played csgo, so many stutter with 'launch options' (Already asking someone who play csgo more than me-streamer with intel i7 7700k and 1060 6gb) He feel that stutter too. Maybe from the game. First thing what i didnt do is. Play a game with gpu bound.

2600 + 2060 isnt much at my country. Everybody use i5 9400f  to handle 2060.

Another thing you could try is limiting FPS and enabling vsync in your game.  I was getting stutters in Minecraft, even with 200+ fps.  Limiting the FPS to 150 fixed it.

What is your spec btw? R6S cant be limited. CSGO maybe i wil try

Maybe im too expecting too much. All i can do for best is use this rig without any worry tho.

I have an i5-9400f, 16gb of Team T-Force Delta Ram (3200 Mhz), and a 1660 super.

I don't get stutters in CSGO on the default max settings.

My only guesses would be a software issue (but you already did a fresh driver install), or a ram issue.

The Ryzen 5 2600 should be roughly equivalent to the 9400f.  Ryzen does like fast ram though.  I might install CSGO on the Ryzen system I built and see if their are stutters.  The ram on that system is 3000 Mhz.  If no stutters come up, you could try OCing your ram to that speed.

My prime suspect is the nv-settings within the panel.

Yes one of the setting already change from before. Its a ultra low latency mode. I only use it for csgo but no difference.

2666Mhz is plenty of Memory frequency for gaming. A ~500Mhz difference there shouldn't be causing microstutter.

Have you tried checking other things like that you're using the Ryzen Power Plan? BIOS is up to date?

Make sure chipset drive is installed, and if theres a Ryzen power plan then switch to that. Not sure if its still there for Zen+ but it is for Zen2.

Otherwise yeah maybe to do with configuration in your global Nvidia configuration. You could try defaulting your Nvidia configuration, and for your games try using Nvidia Experience to optimize the game settings.
