what gigabyte mobo do you have? why would you want to change that? if your cpu is running hot get a better heat sink, i have a i5 4670k which is actually running quite cool with an h80i at 4.2 GHz

I have the GA-Z87X-UDH4 and the cpu is cooled with a H60i v2 and runs 45 degrees at 3.9 GHz.

I've fixed the cooling months ago, right now all i can think of is that they guy putting on the lid made a bad job.

I know your mailbox...

You should not let a CPU get above 100c in my opinion, but if you have a H60i, you don't have to worry, it will never reach thoose temps.. You also download tempurature monitorring tools like, http://addgadgets.com/all_cpu_meter/ , I really like this one.

h60i is actually pretty borderline, running an i7 4770k in Hazwell the temps are quite high...

but now what is the question? i wouldnt do anything or are you concerned about anything?
