PC won't boot

Go to solution Solved by NickPickerWI,

None of the 1st generation Ryzen CPU's show compatibility with that motherboard.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X570-PRO/HelpDesk_CPU/

I was also going to look at your RAM support, but then I realized it's Ryzen generation-specific, and they only have QVL's for 2nd and 3rd generation Ryzen CPU's.

I think that's possibly your issue.

So I just put  an Asus prime x570 motherboard (new) in my computer, and now it won't do anything, the monitors don't turn on. If it helps at all my other parts are, amd ryzen 7 1700x, rtx 2060 super mini, ballistix tactical (3000 or 4000mghz), I have 2 hdds, 1 sshd, 1ssd. I did plug in both the 4 pin power and the 8 pin, so tell me if I did something wrong, I feel like I killed my cpu, because I saw a flash of light whenever I hit the power button.

The 4 pin cpu power was not necessary....
