i know maybe not the right fourm. but i have a problem i have two hdd's in an old machine sadly i cant raid them because not the same capacity but i have a question. if you cant raid two partitions on different disks what if two virtual hard drives on two different disks i tried it in vm worked perfectly got a lot more random read and write speeds to the point where it was 20 times better almost now to the question i downloaded daemon tools and mounted two vhds but windows didn't want to make them dynamic disks so can any one please tell me if its possible to mount two vhds to my machine make them dynamic then stripe them and if possible what program can i use (ps. if any one wants to see the numbers the vm or any thing please just ask)

Who told you this? Because AFAIK you can put any 2 discs in a RAID array. It will just use the bigger one as the same size as the small one. It's an old machine so who cares. Seems a lot easier then what you have done now...
