The system was initially built around March of 2019.

A lot of the original components are replaced/upgraded. (PSU, Cooler, Case, GPU)

PSU:       EVGA 650W BQ

Upgraded GPU and Cooler

Spoiler

Made my purchase of RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition on the date of launch, I had a monitor upgrade so the 1660ti is not enough for me.

Monitor was upgraded from: 1080P 60Hz to 1440P 144Hz.

I, also, had to swap out my Noctua cooler for Corsair H100i Pro RGB. With the open air cooled RTX, my CPU is hitting high 80C.

PSU got upgraded too, to Bitfenix FG 750W. Advice by LTT forum members to get a better quality unit, compared to EVGA 650W BQ.

Birth of "Panda"

Spoiler

The case was swapped to save me desk real-estate. I needed to fit a second monitor onto my desk.

I took the opportunity to swap all my case fan out to Noctua Chromaxs, and swap out my cooler for Noctua NH-U12S LTT Edition.

Cable extension kit is added to help solidify the build's theme.

Another GPU upgrade, from 2070 Super to 3080.

looks good! although i would personally attempt to replace the green leds of the gpu with matching ones to tie the whole build together.

good to see there are still people who like monochrome builds!

i think i might look into those extention cables, they look neat for not too much money.

I originally wanted to do a white themed build, but I can not find a fully white board or GPU. (with my budget at the time)

I currently dont have the money to buy another GPU if I break this one in the process.

I, also, dont feel comfortable opening up my GPU, never opened one before. ?

nice clean looking build, and also different layout of fans, but should work well as heat rises.

Thanks!

I was very specific about the airflow, exhausting through the top. Reasoning here:

Its also good to see people like yourself (and myself included) that can build and showcase there work and get credit for quality work / design and customisation from doing there own work, and using affordable components that do the job.

so many people don't recognize a well designed and built computer, and only interested in a build log if it costs a fortune and has the latest most powerful high performance components that in some case are just assembled parts, with no extra custom work involved.

my first m-itx build i did a few years ago now (i think 2014) i designed the case from scratch using large A2 piece of card and hand drawn the blueprints, then got it made from 3mm Alloy plate and assembled it. took 6 months to design and build.

i think your build has a lot of thought gone into it. nice work.

i've had a look at it and whilst it looks like you can take the grey bit with the leds off without removing the cooling block from the card itself, it does look like a bit of a faff to do.

I thought about slapping a Kraken G12 on it.

But no backplate is gonna make it less pleasing.

The GPU also have above average coil whine...? (under load) As of now, I drown it with max of 65% fan speed.
