hey guys one of my friends has asked me to get him a £2000 (around $2600) gaming rig and he games at home but never games on the go and only does at his desk, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for a EGPU. he also wants it light as he is a student constantly going between classes, so now for the specs that I made.

I chose the new DELL XPS 13 with a 6 core

I also chose for the GPU dock I chose the razer core X, as this ones reputation still precedes it.

for the GPU I chose the 2060 but I had to get the cheap one to keep it under budget.

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions so that I could improve the performance.

thanks in advance,

Tom

I mean, the Core X is alright for an  eGPU setup, but it only has just the TB3 port. If you went with the Core V2 or another dock you get USB ports and Ethernet built in. This goes a long way for the "single wire" setup.

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂
