Docking Station Microphone Port Not Working

Hi

I just bought a new docking station but when i use my microphone to record something it doesn't work.
in device manager, it shows up and in the properties of it, it says the device is working properly. But i still can't use my microphone.

I have a Lenovo V330-15IKB and the docking station is a Kensington SD3650 Docking Station.
