Need Help with RAM upgrade

I upgraded my ram in my computer and the boot led's are stuck on "dram"

Clear cmos and try again already done?

I've built computers before but never upgraded and had to deal with troubleshooting. I just did the battery method, about to boot back up

swapped the ram slots? tried with one ram stick in either of the slots?

No I haven't, I will try

It did not work, swapping or just one, and the ram do work most likely, the rgb works.

Am I putting the two in the dimm slots wrong?

Yore not doing it wrong. Either B1+A1 or B2 + A2 should be right with 2 sticks.

Okay I thought so, any idea what's wrong?

Either RAM stick is not working in none of the slots? Then faulty MoBo maybe. I'd try with other RAM if possible though.

I'll put my old RAM in, it was working before I put the new RAM in

I have an older Z270 motherboard and when changing to different specs RAM it might take even as long as a minute to get video output/POST.

I doubt new RAM killed the MB for some reason...

Though if it's showing RAM led all the time I'd test the RAM on another motherboard to be sure.
