Everything appears balanced.

don’t raid ssd, that caused more issues than solving them. Only thing is load times, and your cpu may bottleneck at ssd speeds at times.

x570 is only if you want the ryzen 9 or pcie 4.0, consider getting an updated b450/x470 board to save a hundred bucks.

I opted for the x570 cause it supported high speed memory & Ryzen 3000 series compatibility out of the box, otherwise I would of had to mess around swapping cpu's and flashing the bios.

A tech friend supplied and recommended those drives in raid cause they are data centre SSD and apparently perform better.

I did get cheap on the case a bit but this was one of the only cases that had ample bay storage options for my legacy 3.5' drives and blu-ray drive.

It seems that almost every other case didn't have enough spaces cause everyone is going SSD's and NVMe's and even ditching the cd rom drive now too, in favour of water cooling reservoirs and rgb fans.

But yeah I'm happy with it for now, so much better than my old system and when I get the GPU up grade it will be sweet.

Optical Drives are a rare sight these days with new systems, but there is nothing wrong with that. I've got 2 internally and one external, used for backing up/converting my physical media for upload to my NAS.
