So I've always heard recommendations of DRAM-less SSDs(kingston a400, sandisk ssd plus etc.) for budget builds, as sensibly they improve boot times, load times etc.

I've done about 8 builds with DRAM-less SSDs(5x Sandisk SSD Plus, 1x Kingston A400, 1x Lexar NM610, 1X Klevv SSD(forgot model))

Literally every single one of those builds had their boot drive fail within 1-8 months. Same symptoms every time. Everything would freeze except cursor, CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work, boot times would be very inconsistent even without Win 10 updates(from ~10 seconds to 5-10 minutes). These symptoms would be there for weeks until it's not recognized in BIOS anymore.

On the contrary, I did several builds with Samsung 860 Evos, 970 Evo/Plus, WD Blue SSD etc.(plus replacements for above said failed SSDs)  All of them are still going strong.

Is the 100% fail rate on DRAM-less SSDs expected or am I just super unlucky?
