What GPU should I get?

Hello everyone. My R9 Fury X seems to have a dying vram chip so I think it's time for a new GPU. I have 300 CAD as of now and want to get a more powerful card than the X. I'm not sure to just save for a 5700 or XT, or buy a used 1080 for $300 please help!

Current main PC:

 

CPU: R7 5800x (PBO undervolted)

GPU: 7900XT

RAM: 32gb Kingston Fury @ 3600mhz

MOBO: Asus ROG B550 F Gaming Wifi

CASE: Xtia Xproto ATX

 

Server PC:

 

CPU: Xeon X5690

GPU: R9 Fury X

RAM: Assorted 4gb sticks (24gb total)

MOBO: Asus Sabretooth X58

CASE: Alienware Area 51 ALX

you could get the 5700 and risk the bios flash to get it to run as a 5700 xt.

Should I not go used? Like a Vega 64 is 380 CAD.
