Hey guys, I built a custom gaming PC about a year ago, and lately it has been crashing when I play games like (CS and R6S), like everything would turn off then restart itself. This results in an Kernel Power Error 41 (63) in Event Viewer.

Specs:

i7-8700K

EVGA GTX 1070 Ti FTW2

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3000 C15
ASUS Z370-G WI-FI AC

WD 250GB NVME SSD

Toshiba 1TB Hard Drive

Super Flower Leadex II 650W PSU

Things I have tried so far is

1. Reset Windows (like erase everything)

2. Run at stock settings

3. Run with only 1 stock of RAM

4. Take out SW_RESET pin on mobo

5. Take out GPU

6. Wipe GPU drivers with DDU

7. Turn off Fast Boot

8. Change “Power Button Action” in Windows

9. Update BIOS

10. Disable unused audio devices

11. Use a different power extension

12. Create Power Plan with hard drive sleep turned off

13. SFC and DISM

14. Temperatures are all ok (CPU 60C,GPU 65C)

Things I have yet to test:

1. PSU (fairly new ~ 4 months?)

2. MOBO (contacted ASUS, haven’t reply me for a day)

This crashing even happens in safe mode, so i’m pretty sure that this is a hardware issue, I just don’t know which components are causing this. I have heard some people with this exact problem solved it by RMAing their motherboard.

Will give any system info if asked. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

knock ssd off the list, once the game is loaded in, it doesn't need to access the ssd.

alright, the games are stored on my hard drive though

then that's even less of a reason for it to crash. I'm assuming that it crashes in the middle of gameplay and not the loading screens.

Yea I agree, sometimes it crashes when a match is finished, sometimes mid-match and sometimes when loading
