[help] slow 4K r/w

So I upgraded the nvme ssd on my laptop, and bought an external enclosure, asus arion, for the old samsung sm951 ssd.

It's the enclosure is connected to my laptop thru a usb c port, the sequentials is more or less what i'm expecting, but the random r/w is just pathetic

I remember the random r/w speed being a lot faster when connected internally.

Are all external enclosures like this? or do I have a faulty unit?
