Headphone jack cutting out

JZStudios

For quite a few years I've been running HDMI audio to my AVR and a 3.5 extension around behind my desk so I can use headphones and watch stuff in bed. Semi-recently the audio just started cut out and I have to switch from my 3.5 to my AVR and back to get it working again. It cuts out every 10 minutes or so. I've deleted and reinstalled the Realtek and Dolby drivers and it didn't fix the issue. The problem persists on Win7 and Win10, though I never actually downloaded any drivers for it on Win10. The front headphone jack also just doesn't work at all, and I know for a fact it used to.

Mobo is a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3. I don't remember which revision exactly, but I'm pretty sure the drivers are all the same.

I'm thinking the jack detection is funky, but I have no idea how I'd fix that.
