Quad GPU: mixing GPU's

As long as they're supported by the same driver version they should work fine. The 1080's will be fine for sure, I don't have experience with Tesla.

Yes, but things might end up sketchy on the driver side. IIRC, nvidia has separate drivers for their workstation gpus and consumer gpus. You are usually much better off using same card.
