Help with upgrading.

I stream and play some esports games and nothing fancy or triple A. In some games its ok but when i try streaming apex legends i drop frames in the lowest video settings. Not sure where to focus, suggestions on which parts to upgrade will be appreciated. Thanks!

maybe see if your motherboard can support the 2700x, its cheap and 8 cores, it should help out a bit with streaming and gaming battle royales a bit. as for gpu maybe look at the 1660 super or higher, for that nvidia nvenc encoder.

1. Replace the PSU, it's garbage, get Corsair CX550.

2. Upgrade the CPU to R5 3600, update UEFI prior to installing it.

3. OC this RAM, it should hit 3600MHz easily with Zen 2 CPU.

Does upgrading to r5 3600 require me to upgrade the mobo? Ok will start learning how to OC Memory.

both the 2700x and 3600 should be compatible with a bios upgrade, but double check with the manufacturer to see if they actually added it.

you will need to update the BIOS, but otherwise no.

Question. Can I update my bios using my old cpu then just put in the new one? Is there any other steps i need to take?

yes that's the only way to update the bios, new cpu wouldn't be read until after the bios is updated
