Hi guys, recently my i7 broke and I won't get the replacement until a month.

 

Can you guys tell me the cheapest processor that works with Aorus Z390 ELITE please.

But would this work on a 8/9 gen mobo?

yes, see for yourself they're both CoffeeLake parts, they work on Z300-series boards.  I used the compatibility filter in PCPartPicker with your exact motherboard before I filtered by cheapest CPU.  (I don't link things that won't work according to posted specs)
