This is a build that I've been using for a couple of months already, except the GPU which i picked up about a week ago.

 

When i hit the power switch on the PSU, the LEDs on my AIO and RAM start to spasm and the GPU fans ramp up and down. case fans don't spin, and no-post. kinda at a loss here bcos it was working for months before this. none of the cables seemed loose. replugged in both the 24pin and 8pin EPS.

specs are as follow (my second render machine in my signatute)

Ryzen 7 2700x

ASRock B450 Steel Legend

4x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000MHz C16

Corsair H100i Pro RGB AIO

MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X

EVGA G+ 850W

500GB Samsung 860 EVO SSD

The video shows what seems to be switching current being directly applied rather than capacitated this can be HIGHLY dangerous to the componants in the PC if you have a different PSU to test the system but i STRONGLY recommend you remove that PSU and never use it again as it seems to be shorted/damaged just from what i see on the video.

 

after you do this can you keep us updated on the system as I have not yet seen a system (mine or others) survive a switching direct current applied without capacitance without something being damaged.

after turning off the psu and on again a few times, the pc magically booted into windows, and then turned off again after about 10min. leaving only the lights on my AIO on. the psu fan was still spinning. then when i turned it on same thing happened as in the video again

It seems that you will need a new PSU as the one currently in your system is damaged in some way if possible RMA it or contact EVGA for warranty if its less than 2 years old try the Corsair PSU from your main rig and see if the same issue occurs if it does than the ASRock motherboard is damaged and may not be identifiable as traces are exceedingly tiny and fragile to electric surges

Don't really want to touch my main rig's PSU as it had given me literally 0 issues for the past god knows how long. I'm picking up another Corsair RM850x tomorrow for a steal, it is an RMA replacement unit, with 6 years warranty left so i guess that should work.

 

If I pop in the new Corsair RM850x and it works perfectly, I'll just RMA the EVGA one and keep the replacement as a spare or sell it.
