Ultrawide?

I'm looking at getting a Viotek 30 inch 2560 x 1080 ultrawide. It has free sync up to 144hz.

 

My question is if I put it in picture in picture mode to play a game in 16:9 and have like youtube or twitch up in the smaller portion  will my game still be running freesynce?
