Hey Everyone!

I had a quick question, the memory i currently have in my system is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211810 which is 2x4GB @1600 MHz with 9-9-9-24 Timing.

Can I add: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211816 which is also 2x4GB @ 1600 MHz, but with 11-11-11-28 Timing?

And if it does work, will it cause performance issues?

Thank You!

Yes, especially if you use integrated graphics. It may also cause instability and bluescreens. Personal experience.

Thank You!

You will have to raise the latency of one of the kits to match the latency of the slowest. You have to do that manually in BIOS.

What you could also do is take the slowest pair, up the voltage to 1.65 and run memtest to see if it will work at the lower pairs timings. If it does put both sets in, set the RAM voltage to 1.65 and run both at the lowest timings of the pair.

Error: 410
