DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Go to solution Solved by honik12,

Ok guys, thanks for your help, updating BIOS worked.

Hey guys, so i just bought a new pc and wanted to install fresh windows on my ssd which I took out from my old computer. I created a boot usb with creation media tools. But every time the installation freezes on "preparing installation files" and after a few minutes i get bsod and the stop code from the title. I also tried to format my other hdd and install it there but still the same issue.

Its impossible to help without system specs. That message generally means a hardware or driver problem. Since you created the media fresh we can eliminate drivers (as Windows 1909 will include updated drivers) so my suggestions matches above, update the BIOS to the latest version as a first step.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)
