CPU high tempreatures

Ed96win

Hi. I got my new gaming rig and .

Here's my build:
R5 2600 (O.C to 4GHz @ 1.312v)

RX 580 8GB (at stock)

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming

I have two exhust fans and NO intake fans.

CPU temp is 31-32 on idle and does not reach 50 while gaming, but if I run cinebench r20 it will max out on 92-93 which is very high.

I'm using the stock cooler that comes with r5 2600

does adding a pair of intake fans solve the problem or I should get an aftermarket cooler? in that case, I'd love to get Wraith Max RGB* but will it be enough/better than something like Hyper 212 Turbo BE?

* Do you need if Wraith MAX RGB fits on my motherboard without blocking any ram slots/VRMs or etc?

Personally I'd switch the two fans you have (or at least one of them) to intake, but honestly it doesn't sound like you even have a problem. It's a gaming rig, not a cinebench r20 rig. If it doesn't reach 50 when doing what you intend to do with it, the cooling is fine

You are overclocking with stock cooler. Temps are probably somewhat expected. Whats your room temp? Have you tried having one intake and one exhaust instead of two exhausts?

Room temp is about 24~26. No, but I'll give that a try.

Ok, well from experience getting properly cooled case will drop temps some (from bad airflow to amazing airflow up to 5C). But getting better CPU cooler or dropping overclock will do much more.
