I bought the Razer Blade Stealth (MX150 version) a little over a month ago. It has been treating me quite well. However, I pulled a Linus and dropped the laptop on its side while it was in a 13" case I purchased from Best Buy. Being a little more protective than a sleeve, it chipped slightly and slanted the laptop's top panel so that it is not aligned with the body when folded. From what I can tell, the left hinge got pushed away from the body of the laptop causing the top panel to be unaligned on all sides. It is just cosmetic damage that is mostly unnoticeable unless the laptop is closely inspected, but it would be nice for it to be properly aligned for peace-of-mind.

Does anyone know how to adjust the top panel in order to get it aligned with the body of the laptop? I'm not sure man-handling it is the best course of action, but maybe I am overthinking it as it is made of solid aluminum, but I would like a better solution.

Edit: Also, on an unrelated note, the laptop has been getting white marks along the edge (probably due to the matte black aluminum finish), but is there any way to cover this well? I have a dbrand skin that I am putting on standby until I get the top panel aligned, but I am curious about this as the skin will not totally cover these marks.

Display and power cables among other things are routed through the hinges so you need to be careful. As said above, open it before you do anything and see what's going on.

I failed to mention that the integrity of the hardware is upheld, including the screen, it is just the top panel itself, so cosmetic damage. I have been using it with no issues for a little over a week since I dropped it.

Can you post a picture?

Pictures are posted from both sides above. I'm sorry the pictures are subpar, but the slant is hard to capture because it is so minor.

I think I see what you mean. If you got really lucky, a screw came a tiny bit loose, but I feel like you'd at *minimum*, have to replace the hinge.

It seems to be that way, because when I try to man-handle it with a bit of force it goes back into place. Do you think contacting Razer Support about getting this RMA'd to see how much it'd cost is a good idea?

If it's under warranty it shouldn't cost anything to RMA it.
