Surface Pro 4 no power

My Surface Pro 4's power cable blinks and does not charge. Microsoft help says that replacing the power cable will help. Will this work? If so, what is the best one not-Microsoft power cable (Microsoft charges $70 for a power cable. If this doesn't work, what is the best way to remove my data/ssd from the device?

    intelstock heatsink / Coolermaster thing thats worse than intelstock

Try replacing the charger, either you fix it for $70 or you determine that you need a new tablet.
