second keyboard won't get recognised

So i am not very good with tech but i wanted to set up a second keyboard to have as a macro keyboard for soundboard stuff and alike. I have conected my second keyboard and followed the steps in the video here 

but when i went to get my keyboard conected it wont type. I can raise, lower and mute volume from buttons on the kayboard and also play and pause youtube and spotify from another button but any other keys are ompleatly unresponsive. Ill gladly provide more info if needed.
