Oneplus 6 full screen

For about 2 months when In full screen I would have to press the little X in the bottom right to get out of the ui this makes it annoying when watching videos with one hand because sometimes I would hit the suggested video at the bottom and loose the video I'm watching 

 

Any help or suggestions welcome

Which app is that? It might be a limitation of the app. Doesn't look like the Youtube app to me.

As its an android it may look different but it is defiantly the YouTube app

But I have the OnePlus 6 for the last year and a few months. My only/primary phone.

And the Youtube app does not look like that to me and doesn't experience that behavior.

1. Is your phone updated?

2. Are your apps updated?

3. Have you tried clearing the app cache?

4. Have you tried clearing the cache partition?

5. Maybe deinstalling the app (to replace it with the factory version) and updating it then?

I actually cant uninstall the app...It is built in, when i uninstall it on google store it just says update or open

That's what I meant. A built in app can be only degraded to an old version. But that might also help if you do that, clear the cache and app data and then update the app.

The normal behaviour for the app is to have that shown for a moment and the hidden until you tap the screen when it appears and disappears in a moment.

There shouldn't be the X.

I did this, I also tried using the app without updating first and it still has the X

Im guessing that yours looks more like this? The 10 second skip buttons are different but thats about it

Have you wiped the cache partition? Tried using CCleaner?

I just used CCleaner and got rid of about 7Gb of cache and other stuff but still YouTube persists. I might just give up because i have tried in the past to no avail. Thank you for trying though i do appreciate it!
