Hi all,my current build is about 6 years old.

I have a

gigabyte ga-78lmt-USB3 motherboard

Fx-6300 (oc to 4.2ghz)

4x2gb RAM ddr3-1333

Radeon 7770 GPU

It's starting to get a bit slower, so I'm planning on getting an SSD and reinstalling Win10

I'm planning on editing some of my 4k video from my camcorder...just home video stuff, And would like to improve the speed of it.

I currently use Vegas Video 14 (yeah...also a bit old, but those editors are expensive!!)

Thinking about checking out the free version of davinci resolve!

My 2 options are upgrading my ram and getting 2x8gb stocks (and keeping the other 4gb so I'd end up with 20gb...is that ok to do?). Side question to that...the 2x8gb sticks would be 1600, not 1333.  So is it best to then just leave the 2x2gb 1333 out of the system?  Will it slow things down if left in?  If it does slow down the newer ram, what is more important, 4gb more RAM or less, but faster RAM?

OR

finding a used rx 570/580 or maybe a 1050/1060.

Want to spend no more than $100ish if possible!

Thanks for any help!
