Dynamic vs condensed microphones

I stream and I wanted the kind of microphone that will pick up only myself.  Not the music I’m playing in the background.  I play it quietly but my snowball was still picking up waaay to much.  This mic is better at not getting the sound i got the editors keys sl 600 unidirectional consdenser usb microphone.  It’s seems to have solved my problems, but did I get the correct microphone.  I wanted it as isolated as possible

For your use case a dynamicic is better you will get a closer darker tone to your voice and you will be forced to put it closer to your face but it won't pick up as much noise around you.
